Re: FS: Dixon Low D Aluminum (body only: keep reading) - $30
It's a violation of seller self-interest, but PM if you want to make a counter-offer. It would have to be reasonable, but in the end, I really just want to get rid of this thing.

FS: Dixon Low D Aluminum (body only: keep reading) - $30 SOLD
Time to clean out some projects that I must admit I'm not going to finish :boggle: This is the body of a Tony Dixon DX-102 straight bore aluminum low D. The head broke a few years ago, and I had already moved on to a Ralph Sweet blackwood low D instead. The two rubber gasket rings for the head are a...

FS: Trinity College TM-375 bouzouki
I have my trusty TM-375 up for sale on Mandolin Cafe. It's a great instrument, and way better than it deserves to be for its price, but my hands are just too small to use it effectively for melody playing.

Re: WTB BOUZOUKI
You might have a look at the classifieds on Mandolin Cafe (specifically, the CBOM section). I have a Trinity College up there for sale, myself, and you can find that particular listing if you want. Here's the general one:

Oh, I hope that's not considered afoul of the forum rules, as this feedback was/is explictly requested by me. I really appreciate your finding that stuff. Thank you.

I appreciate the honesty, y'all. Thank you. I guess I'm probably pretty naive about it.
So anyone care to venture a guess on what it might actually be worth?

Current whistle market (aka, why won't this thing sell?)
I noticed something this morning, after checking in with yet more frustration at the apparent total lack of interest in a Busman whistle I've been trying to sell ( http://forums.chiffandfipple.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=103866 ). In the Used Instruments Exchange section of this site, there is only...

FS: Busman D+ whistle
I posted this a few months ago but saw no bites.
I'll try again:
http://ithaca.craigslist.org/msg/5923292983.html
I'm asking $250, which is just under 80% of what they go for new, but I'll consider any reasonable offers.

Re: Sweetheart Flutes
I don't know anything about current events with the company, but as of 2011 when I visited, it was just Ralph and Walt Sweet. I see on the site that there are two more builders now, but Ralph is not a young man (87 now). I have no idea what that means for the current state of the company. You might ...

Re: Bill Ochs RIP
He was my whistle teacher for three months in 2013, until I moved away from the NYC area, and he was my wife's flute teacher up until he had to end teaching this summer. I've met few people as warm and as generous with time and attention. He was a friend, and my life is better for having known him.

*bump*
I'll consider reasonable counter offers. I'll list it on EBay in a couple of days, if no bites.

Busman D+, bloodwood (really selling it this time)
About a year ago, I posted my bloodwood Paul Busman D+ whistle for sale, then withdrew the sale when I decided I liked the instrument too much to part with it. I still love it, but I haven't played it (nor any other whistle) more than a handful of times in the past year, that's not going to change a...
