Is David O'Brien in Canada still building ?

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if David O'Brien in Canada is still in business, and making whistles? I have had a number of his Rover 3 piece whistles over the years, and was looking to contact him for another, but can't find a website for him. The first one I had was one in Pink Ivory that was amazin...

How is the body formed in Copeland style taper bore whistles

Hi Guys, I have been enjoying my Shaw whistles, and have had in the past a nice Copeland high D in Silver, back when Patrick Jones had the Irish Flute Store. I had purchased the whistle, used, here on Chiff - and after having it and enjoying it a year or so, had Patrick rehome it for me. It was, oth...

Re: Who is making good tapered/conical high D whistles?

I have been enjoying whistles by John Shaw. I have had a silver Copeland high D some years ago, and quite liked it. I have also been looking for a whistle like a Copeland, for a more pure sound, then the Shaw has, and have decided to have a go at making one up in the Copeland style. But in the meant...

Re: Maple Head Reyburn Whistles wanted

Hi Richard, I believe it was me that purchased a couple of your maple head Reyburns some years ago. One had an extra tube - a low C - in aluminum.
I loved them all ! - thank you again for allowing me to purchase them at that time. Wish I had been able to keep them.
