I'm struggling to follow this. To avoid what I think he calls the left hand death grip does that mean you no longer cover the holes with your finger tips, and use something closer to piper's grip?

When you only have time for a quick breath do you push out the remaining air or are you just adding to whatever breath is left? I think it's the latter. Retailer of Irish music cds USA

Please could someone advise me as to a retailer of cds in the states that has a good selection of Irish trad recordings.

I'd like to have buy a cd and have it posted to the NY area. All the searches I've done have brought up guitar stores.

It sounded like she couldn't stay in one key. Perhaps some backing music would have tethered her to the correct pitch.
