That's a picture of an old carving, wasn't it on some old Irish money? I think it's the carving that's in St. Michan's church in Dublin; I think it's where Handel first played the Messiah.

Re: Recording of Jobim song?
Most people I know refer to him by his nickname, Tom Jobim. I guess it's just shorter so it's easier to say. Thanks for the recommendations Davy, the first one is a bit over the top but the second one is ok. Maybe I will just have to bite the bullet and call the radio station to find out what record...

Re: Thanksgiving foods you could do without
I pretty much hate all Thanksgiving foods: turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie. I mainly eat mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving. One year my husband (then boyfriend) made me Thanksgivng dinner with ham instead, and only with foods I liked. I guess he was trying to impress me cause he n...

Recording of Jobim song?
Hi all, back again with an obscure question. I am confident that, as usual, you guys will provide me with an answer to the most obscure questions I can think of. :-) I heard a beautiful song on the radio a few weeks ago but didn't hear the artist. They said the song was called "Photograph"...

Re: Sci fi book?
Cool, now I get to reread it. It's been so long that I really don't remember whether I liked it or not. Seems like the reviews on Amazon are mostly not too complimentary. I only thought of it because I had a dream the other night that I was wearing opaque glasses but I could still see, except what I...

Sci fi book?
Hi, sorry I am not around much lately, but maybe some people still remember me. :-) This seems like a good place to come to for help in my search for a book I once read...Did anyone ever read an old Science fiction book about a guy who was blind, but he could still see, but actually what he was seei...

Re: What's your favorite Twilight Zone episode?
I liked the one with the doll that would randomly say things...one of them being "My name is talking whatever (can't remember the name now), and I'm going to kill you", and then the person would die. The father in it was really mean, and the doll did NOT like him at all. It was SO scary w...

I always thought Stella would be a good name for a cat. That way you could yell for it, "Stellaaaaaaaa!"
