Re: Can't read it wrong

FOX NEWS headline "Georgia inmate executed for first time in 4 years for 1993 rape and murder".

But it won't be his last. You'd think once would be enough. How many more times per year, and how many total over the 4 years (through 2027)? I suppose it's easier after the first time.

Re: Flute stolen!! (Prague)

[Thread revival. - Mod] I believe I have located this flute with an instrument dealer in Prague. The gentleman who owns the store took it over from his grandfather who apparently bought the flute almost 20 years ago. He seems to be an honest man, and is looking to get in touch with Ryan (aka spittl...

Oh, now you've gone and ruined it!

Maybe what the world really needs is a piano keyboard for a concertina-like instrument.

Oh, now I've gone and ruined it.

Re: Frequency in a square tube

For all practical purposes, the resonant frequencies of a square pipe will be the same as a round pipe of the same length and similar cross sectional area. Just like baking (from The Cheesecake Cookbook, by Kevin Krell) "Most cheesecakes are made in an 8", 9" or 10" springform p...

Shouldn't the pitch be determined by the length of the tube, regardless?

This is the look and feel that I prefer also.
