[Thread revival. - Mod] Let Killarney have their Lily, and Tralee the lovely Rose There's a flower more dear to me, than in the wildwood grows, She's fairer far than any star, she's the jewel in Kerry's crown, The pride of Erin's garden is, my wild-flower of the Laune. Button pressure on accordions.

What's your button pressure ? I got mine measured yesterday on my Paddy Clancy,
100 grams. I once tried out a Saltarelle Killaloe, which had 125 of button pressure,
and i liked it a lot. But that kinda weight was way too heavy for my Paddy.

Just curious.

Re: What's a good b/c accordion for a beginner?

Hi Jerry, You could try Martin Quinn, you can't do much wrong with this Mc Brides starter accordion. And sell it for the same price if you don't like it https://www.martinquinnaccordion.com/Accordions/used-accordions Or if you're in the US, look for a used dancemaster http://www.geocities.ws/dancema...

My new box is about 1.5 years old,
and i've noticed some reeds are -10 % flat.
From what point do you retune ?

Re: Which C is most common for basses ?

Thanks Steve, If i give over my C#, it won't be as heavy as a 12 bass accordion. Please let me know what you'd recommend along with the C. I've got C on the Pull, need something on the push. I'm kinda used to the rest of this setup now. My lay out is: A/E A/E ?/C ?/C F#/B F#/B D/G D/G Bertrand Gaill...
