The set is sold!

Due to financial reasons I have to sell my Benson & Cornelius practice set which I received no longer than a month ago. It's made out of cocobolo with brass and boxwood mounts, and has 4 keys. It includes a hand stitched bellows, and also a hand stitched black leather bag. I am taking reasonable offers at this point. The chanter plays great, and hasn't given me any troubles thus far. The back D uses a bit of tape to flatten in it, but this is preferable anyways, and is how it arrived to me. Below is a picture of the full practice set, and the second pictures is of the chanter itself. If you are interested contact me via pm, otherwise shoot me an email at buttonbox>(at)<gmail.com

If anyone is intersted I still have the set available, make me an offer, it's a great practice set, and I am willing to let it go for a good price.

Just an FYI for those out there who might be unfamiliar with Tim and Stephanie's work it really is top notch. I have one of their D chanters and it's great. I'm getting a 3/4 set from them next week and will post some sound clips. Tim already has some videos up on his site so you can get an idea.

Really lovely stuff and I think his work is going to go the way Michael Hubbert's has in the past year - short wait time now but that waiting list is going to grow.

THat coco and boxwood is a nice combo.

Wish I had some dough. I'd like to play that rascal.

Too many daughters getting married this summer. I'm working on my second.

Still have the set if anyone is interested in it. I really should have listed it as a chanter instead as that is essentially what it is given it's fully keyed, perhaps practice set makes it sound cheap. I busted it out least weekend, and it's still playing very well, it's more in tune than my piano

You're killing me!!! If I didn't have a chanter on order from Jim Wenham that I have to pay for ....

Good luck, and hope the economic tide turns for you soon.

I'm suprised this set hasn't moved already.
Tim makes really nice stuff. You can bet people will be waiting a few years for Tim and Stephanies practice sets in the not too distant future.

So do I! Were doing a swap. I'm making him a C stick.

Cool! I guess we're both looking forward to next April (unless you go home before then, of course) :-) I played Willow Mullins's and it was like it was made for me. So what was I to do .... but get one made for me?

I'm also looking forward to seeing/hearing one of yours.

And of course .... if anyone in the Kentucky/Indiana/Southern Ohio/WVa area is interested in meeting Tim and trying some of his pipes, he'll be at the Eminence Irish Festival in Eminence, KY at the end of this month.

I've been checking the forum nearly every day for two weeks seeing if these are still listed. My birthday is on Thursday and I've been not so discretely hinting to my parents that this would make a nice gift. I printed out the listing and put it on my dad's desk and somehow it ended up on the fridge. Good sign??

They'll probably really surprise you and get you an ironing board cover!

Is Jim Wenham going to be the next star maker?
