Any good suggestions for websites where I can download or just access free sheet music for traditional music, particularly traditional Scottish?

Very specifically, I'm looking for the sheet music for a slip jig called the Lochaber Dance. I've heard a very nice version of that played on UPs and border pipes.

I found this in the smallpipe folder of my abc files. It's not my transcription and I don't know the source.

thesession.org is usually my first port of call. No luck there this time.

Bill - that looks like it. I'm not a whiz with abc but I should be able to work it out.

Thanks all.

I'm sure it's been posted before but if you copy and paste the ABC into this webpage it will give you it as dots.

Another option is the Folk Archive Resource North East (FARNE) site at www.asaplive.com/farne/home.cfm

Best wishes.

Here is one of the best places for Scottish tunes. The site also has a page on whistling in Scottish music.

Hi PJ,
here is a link to a web site which is dedicated to the GHP. I found the tune you search, but it is writted for GHP, so it needs to be adapted for the UP.
You can find a lot of other scottish tune, enjoy !
