Noticed problems with the board lately?

Post by brewerpaul »

Is it just me, or are the Chiff boards very flukey lately? Many times, they simply won't load and I'll time out. I have a Windows PC, and this will happen with either Firefox of IE. When they're not working,I can't get them on my iPod Touch WiFi either. It sometimes happens if I use a work computer at lunch time. All other sites are fine.

I haven't noticed anything.
Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
It's dizzying, the possibilities. Ashes, Ashes all fall down.

I've had problems only around 3:15 am Pacific Time, sometimes pm, which I assume is some sort of maintenance going on.

BTW, that's pretty much daily, for some time now, at least the am one.

I haven't noticed anything wrong today, but I'll keep an eye out.

Added: Our web host reports that they were doing special maintenance Wednesday afternoon PDT to address a security issue.

Yes, I've noticed that too, Kevin. I also assume it's routine maintenance. Usually lasts no more than 10 minutes or so.

For me this happens MUCH more frequently, and at varying times of day or night. Morning seems to be a bit more common. Once in a while, it'll happen right in the middle of a board session. I'll be viewing and posting happily and then all of a sudden I can't get on. At that point I usually switch to my other browser, or close and reopen the same one but that doesn't seem to matter.

Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...
