Whoah. That does sound a lot like some of the thicker stuff you hear in northern Minnesota!

Re: Ordinal numbers
Thx, I haven't listened to Jimmy Crowley in years. I still like his version of Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down, Con Shine best.
But just because you can say Cark doesn't necessarily mean you can find your Corcaigh and then how will you get home?

Uh oh, I mis-spoke, should have said "at'un"
Were them Cork boys foxhunting? on foot?
In these mountains there are foxhunters, but not like that. My granddaddy use to always keep a good foxhound or two, but they go out at night, loose the hounds, build a big campfire and sit and listen to their hounds bay- they can all tell their own hounds voice. Nowdays, they mostly sit and drink while they listen to the dogs.
Coon hounds are more popular herebouts it seems. You got your redbones, blue ticks, walker hounds and..... black and tans

Probably not a well-received breed back on the Ould Sod.cowtime wrote:...black and tans...

Re: Ordinal numbers
I'd say yo're right. 'round here, there ain't none uh that old dirt stuff, just good dogs or lousy dogs. I wonder if there's much demand for imports of that breed to the "ould sod"??? But then, they wouldn't have any coons to hunt over there would they? would seem kinda wasteful somehow...Nanohedron wrote:Probably not a well-received breed back on the Ould Sod.cowtime wrote:...black and tans...

Yep..
Men, Boys and Dogs...not a horse or bugle in sight.

Not a great version of the song but it's all I can find.
