Smiley question

I can't figure out how to get the smileys into my posts. I have tired dragging them from the group of them on the page where I'm writing my post, and I've tried coping and pasting them. I'm sure you will all be able to hear my palm hitting my forehead when I find out how easy it is. Thanks for the help.

Place the cursor where you want the emoticon to appear, then left click on the emoticon of your choosing and, presto, it appears as if by magic. :D

You can also use character combinations which the board will
convert to the correct picture. For example, you can type the
following

:-?

and when you hit the Preview or Submit button, it will get
converted to this: Image (as long as you haven't clicked on the
"Disable Smilies in this post" box...)

To find out what character combinations to use, put your mouse
over one of the emoticons to the left of the posting text window,
but don't click it. On the bottom of your browser, there should be
a grey bar, which shows text such as this: javascript:emoticon(':D')
The characters inside the parentheses (without the quotes) is what
you type to get that emoticon.

you can disable them in posts by checking the "Disable Smilies in this post" spot. usefull when you are writing a list that includes 8)

I have a bit of a one tracked mind, when I read the first comment I thought that perhaps the "Disable Smilies in this post" was checked. When it turned out that that wasn’t the problem I thought that I would just mention the option for those that have tried to write a list that goes

2)
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)
8)
9)
10)

Or for other times when the smaller codes get in the way like these sometimes do.

It doesn’t work for the non C&F Smilies like your green man (Image) though because it is an image linked by BBCode.
