Usergroup?

Post by I.D.10-t »

I was just wondering what the User group thing would be used for. You know that link above the Log out/in button.

I read the FAQ I just do not know what other forums would use it for.

Hm. That feature doesn't appear to be used here, currently.
I bet you could create a "Political" group, and limit the rubber room
to people in that group. That way, users could be thrown out of that
forum without being entirely banned from the site...

Or, create an Adult group to limit a mature forum to those who have
proved their age. Computer Bulletin Boards in the 80's used to do
that.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

From the FAQ
..some are closed and some may even have hidden memberships.
That part just kind of made me paranoid.
