PMs in Outbox

Post by Roger O'Keeffe »

Do PMs stay in the Outbox until read by the addressee? I have three festering quietly in mine.

Yup. Once read, they go to your Sentbox.
Looks like someone's not checking their PM's
Or maybe they're ignoring you...

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

That would be the normal run of affairs. That's often why you'll see someone posting a "Hey, Dipstick543! Check your PMs" thread.

It is possible that a glitch could prevent someone from seeing notice of a message, I suppose, but I wouldn't expect it with three PMs unless they're all to the same person. Inattention would definitely not be ruled out in that case, though.

I have one festering in mine. I leave it, like a candle in the window.

Thanks, Nanóg.

Two have now been read, the third was to one of my daughters who registered in a moment of enthusiasm when she resumed playing a bit of whistle while in Spain, but probably hasn't revisited C&F since.
