Making pretty links

Post by LimuHead »

You know how people take the big, long, ugly URL links and turn them into a "click here" or whatever?

So how's it done then?

I remember there was a thread that touched on this a few months ago, but I can't find it.

Thanks in advance,
Aldon

When you're writing your post, click on "BBCode" (bottom left). Look for "Creating Links".

Or, do it by hand:

<url=http://big.long.url.here>click this</url>

Replace the < and > with [ and ]

You can also write the link html like the following

Code: Select all

<a href=http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=2171&alid=319> LimuHead's Music </a>
Where from the = to the > is the address/url
and the /a between the <> is the end of the display text for the link.
Enjoy Your Music,

3 different ways? Cool.

Look for new and improved URLs in my future posts!

And I guess I could beautify the signature too, huh?
