Question regarding Generation D and Eb whistles
Are the heads of the Generation D and Eb whistles interchangeable? Meaning, once you loosen the heads from the bodies will both heads fit both bodies? Or do they use different OD tubing for their bodies?

Re: Question regarding Generation D and Eb whistles
Yes, same spec. D is a stretched Eb or Eb is a cut down D, depending on your perspective. Only tube length and hole placement are different.

Re: Question regarding Generation D and Eb whistles
It's a chicken-or-the-egg sort of thing.
If you think of Generations as being in pairs a 4th apart, you need both the D and the Eb to complete three sets.
Bb/Eb
C/F
D/G
Why they would be conceived and created in such pairs, who can say.
I do think it would have been better had it gone this way instead!
A/D
Bb/Eb
C/F
which we would gain a nice mezzo A, and lose the insect-like high G.
