Is Sorcha Ní Mhuiri still piping and playing the fiddle? I couldn't find anything on youtube. I remember from Willie Week that she was good.

I think I heard she sold the pipes but don't take my word for it.

Sorry to hear that. That would explain why I couldn't find anything with her. Thought she might have got married, and had a new last name, or decided to concentrate on the fiddle.I think I heard she sold the pipes but don't take my word for it. Mr. Gumby

Yes Sorcha has got married, has sold the pipes ,or at least her C set, and is concentrating on being a family person, playing the fiddle and living the country life.... well, that is as far as I know.

Re: Sorcha Ní Mhuiri?
Thanks Peter and Geoff. I just wondered that's all. We saw Sorcha play in Miltown one Willie Week, and we played in a session with her and Séamus Ó Rócháin one evening. Pity she sold her Wooff C set, she's a fine piper, but maybe she'll do a Kitty Hayes in twenty years or so.
I saw there was a Wooff set (not Sorcha's) with an A drone and a detachable bass reg and a detachable extra regulator with a E key, for sale at a decent price, in An Píobaire (February 2020) not so long ago. I wonder who bought it?

I've no idea who bought that set Tom. It was made in 1985/6, so an early one.
A much more recent Wooff C set changed hands a couple of weeks back... though it never got as far as the classifieds on various websites. It has happened, as in this case, that one of my clients contacts me with the desire to sell their set and I endeavour to find a customer .

Hi Tom
Sorcha's brother Eanna is also a fine piper.

I believe that he plays a set made by Donncha Keegan.
Cheers
