Harry Bradley recordings

Post by Steve Bliven »

Does anyone have a source for Harry Bradley's recordings ""Bad Turns and Horseshoe Bends", "The First of May", and "The Night Rambler's Companion"?

All my usual sources show "Unavailable" or are silent on availability.

Thanks in advance.

Best wishes.

Steve

"Bad Turns and Horseshoe Bends" is on Spotify...won't help if you are looking for a physical copy of the album, but at least you can listen to it there.

CD Baby has "First of May", only as a digital download. I don't believe any stores have physical CDs of that one.

Hi Steve - "Bad Turns" is on "iTunes" for £3.99 last I looked. I can scan the sleeve notes for you.
If you want physical copies of the other 2, "Celtic Chords" in Stonehaven, near Aberdeen, I think had both of them a few weeks ago, around £13.00. P&P to the States would be around £5. Pete's a good guy. If you can't get them anywhere else, please support him. I can call him and ask if you like.
All 3 of these CDs were on eBay last week, but the asking price was around £20 each.
All the best, Kenny

Thanks very much to all who responded. Between Celtic Chords and other sources, I'm sorted.

How can Harry Bradley recordings be out of print???

Best wishes and appreciation.

Own label" or small label recordings, so limited number only produced, apart possibly from "Bad Turns" on "Outlet". Must have been about the last recording they made before they ceased trading.
Just over 10 years ago someone was selling them on eBay, and I must have bought about 20 of them at £0.99 each. I was amazed that nobody seemed to want them. I gave them all away to flute players in Europe, North America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Still my favourite flute album ever.
Thanks for supporting "Celtic Chords", the only decent source of Irish music recordings in a 100 mile radius from Aberdeen.

"Night Ramblers Companion" is the one I've never managed to acquire....

They both show up in the iTunes store, at least from my location. $5.99 and $9.99 respectively.
