Left handed Ginsberg full set in C - seller says free posting in the description, two other chanters by Ginsberg are included in the sale (a reeded, keyless D, and an unreeded, keyless C).

Sort of a beehive mount thing going on with that Ginsberg set.

One of my favourite sets of all time, that. I was quite disappointed to hear that the mounts were an aftermarket addition!

Re: Ebay Items
Yes, somebody went to town on that one. As a one off, it had a strange fascination. I wonder if, eventually, anyone got it going in a satisfactory way. At the time (twenty five years or so ago) it either had, supposedly, a lovely tone or it was in tune, but never both at the same time. During the ten years or so I often saw it, it wasn't in playing condition. One of my favourite sets of all time, that. I was quite disappointed to hear that the mounts were an aftermarket addition!

Re: Ebay Items
Not a conversion but a swap of tenor and bari reg positions.Didn't realise it was a leftie set converted to rightie.
And quite possibly I scanned one of the slides upside down when I did a test run on the medium format slides a few years ago after getting the flim scanner
This is probably more like it:

Chanter looks like one of those Eighteen Moloney/Egan chanters with the mounts swapped out.Mr.Gumby wrote:Not quite like this though :Sort of a beehive mount thing going on with that Ginsberg set.

Re: Ebay Items
It's a Kenna, the only piece bearing a maker's mark (the body of the set is not Kenna but a convincing case has been made for it being a remounted Ryan).Chanter looks like one of those Eighteen Moloney/Egan chanters with the mounts swapped out.
