Appologies David! I found it and thought it would be a great starting half set!
I saw this listing as well, and noticed some red flags:
Bass regulator extension pipe attached to the main stock on a half set. I don't believe that skilled UP makers typically do this. However, it is a hallmark of the sets put out by the "Mid-East/Roosebeck" factory. This item appears to be that company's typical model, an attempt at copying an older Kirk Lynch design.
And there is no "S.A. Anderson" on the usual lists of reputable pipe makers. I think a previous owner of this item affixed their own name to it.
It also appears to be missing the chanter. But that's probably a good thing, since that tends to be the most problematic part of these sets!

Tell us something.: I am a walrus, I am a tea pot. John Lennon said that but people see him as a guru. Well, tell, you what he also almost became a piper asking Paddy Keenan to teach him. (bleep) got bored & went on the sitar and the rest is history.

Lol, I know we were all emulating the perfect blend of Clancy, Rowesome, Ennis and the great Johnny Doran after picking up the pipes a couple of times. Who IS this doofus? Now please excuse me, I'm off to practice 'The Brendan Voyage' the the local sympony orchestra.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this Wilkinson-McCarthy full set?
I understand these makers produced sets for a few musical instrument retailers in the late 1970s to early 1980s.
The seller believes this set can't be made to work properly.
The item description refers to a five-page thread here at C&F discussing the W-M pipes, but I can't find it anywhere.

It was sold on eBay about a year ago (for about $2,300). If you look back a few pages in this thread you'll see it.

I don't know this set but it's risky buying pipes on eBay.
