M&E F Flute Thoughts?

Post by bigsciota »

Does anyone here own one? Thoughts on it? I've had my eye on one and a recent thread here has my interest piqued again. €200 seems like a bargain if it's a good flute, and the videos I've found online have sounded quite good.

I have played a couple of M&E D flutes and liked them, so I'm guessing it's good. But I'd love to hear of others' experiences. Also, if anyone has one sitting around that isn't getting played... :D

Do you have some links to the playing of his f flutes (others than the ones from his channel)?
I am also thinking about getting one. I have played a keyed D flute made by him for the last couple of years and for the money I paid (500 Euro back then), it does an excellent job!

The last two were posted by Michael Cronnolly himself, so of course they'll show the flute in a favorable light, but the other two are also quite complimentary.

I have a delrin low D by Michael. I love it.

But, tragedy, in the form of my dog, have resulted in a situation in which I now need a new head joint. Can't afford to send it off to Michael for a replacement yet. But, when I can.... I definitely will.

Love the tone. LOVE the range (well into third octave. Strong in the first.)

Simply a great flute as far as I am concerned.

I apologize that this didn't address the F flute. Just saying I really like his work.

YMMV.
