CP: Wooden Flute Obsession now on CD Baby - all volumes

For the convenience of the International Traditional Music Society customers:

Now, in addition to the 2-CD volume 1 of Wooden Flute Obsession, Volume 2 & Volume 3 are also available on cdbaby.com . The 6 CDs total 7 hours of flute music, 1 track per performer, 120 artists.

Quoting Hammy Hamilton from the liner notes: "...what we get to hear is something of the current state of Irish traditional flute playing, in its international context, from widely recorded commercial virtuosos, to talented enthusiasts, many of whom were invited to record specifically for Wooden Flute Obsession, and may or may not ever record again."

CD Baby has good shipping prices, especially for non-US orders. Postal prices have increased such that to send all 3 volumes (6 discs), the minimum cost is USD $23.50, which is nearly cost-prohibitive for international purchasers, especially if there is the possibility that they will be hit with import duties/VAT as well. Purchasing from CD Baby may be a simpler solution, particularly if one wishes to combine with music purchases from other publishers.

I regret that I cannot make the CDs available as digital downloads, as my interpretation of the original contracts with the musicians & labels does not seem to allow it, or would be unfairly competitive when the track might also appear on a player's own CD release. Since the ITMS operates solely as a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization, we wish the artists to benefit as much as possible from their work.

CD Baby provides 30-second previews of each track of the CDs. Purchase price is currently USD $18 per volume, and you may purchase 1, 2 or all. Of course, you continue to be welcome to purchase from us directly at http://www.worldtrad.org .

Good. I'll ship as soon as they reorder. They sell through Amazon, too, so may have just allocated differently than usual. I think they did not anticipate multi-volume sales coming up to Christmas.
