Tell us something.: Yes , i am a tin whistle maker and am looking for an improved way to make a better fipple than the plans I currently use. Thank you
Yes I am new here and I am not looking to sell . I want to be able to make and play my own tin whistlesand would appreciate a good build instructional.
I thank you and if I’m breaking any rules my apologies.
Cheers!

These sites are showing how to make wooden whistles but the principal is the same for making the mouth pieces.
There are other designs too worth investigating.
By all means look at the whistle making pictures on my website, but they won't be of any help if you actually want to make a whistle or two. The outlay for making wooden in terms of equipment and materials is very substantial and not at all worth it for anyone with a casual interest.
The Guido Gonzato instructions mentioned in a previous post are really first rate. With only common hand tools and some cheap PVC pipe you can make excellent whistles. The instructions are amazingly complete and clear and he gives dimensions and specifications for making whistles in many keys.
The satisfaction of playing an instrument you made yourself is wonderful. Good luck.
Tell us something.: Instrument maker and researcher exploring new methods of creating traditional instruments with longevity aforethought. Player of the whistle, flute, and continental European border pipes.
If you've any experience in CAD/CAM, that can be another route/rabbit hole. After becoming sick of grinding out prototypes on the lathe (3hrs to make a finished headjoint FFS!) I learned Fusion 360, which is free, and am beginning to print prototypes in a sort of brute-force attempt to put the finishing touches on a whistle line I intend to release later this year. Go with resin SLA printing though, that plastic wire junk will never be high-resolution enough for a good result.
Tell us something.: I've been trying to learn the recorder for about 5 years now and want to add a new instrument (tin whistle) to my repertoire. I hope with only 6 holes life will be a bit easier... (John Sheahan's Marino Casino in the Gaiety theatre has something to do with it - whereas my head knows that 40 years of practice is the reason why it sounds so good, I'm still hoping...)
