Who Makes Great Wooden Low Whistles???

Post by aphillips »

So I have an amazing Low G made by Chris Abell, but, that is as low as he goes. So who could I get beautiful Low F and Low D whistles made out of ABW or similar from?

Thanks!

Jon Swayne, if you can wait out his list.... Check here for a video of Jemtheflute playing one.

Best wishes.

As the owner of a ABW Bleazey low D, I would say Bleazey.

I don't know if it fits your criteria, as the body is brass, but the irish flute store has a low f Reyburn for sale with a maple head. http://www.irishflutestore.com/reyburn- ... t?___SID=U

I have a Sweetheart Resonance that I love. It's an older model, but I'd imagine the newer ones are at least as good if not better.

Another vote for Phil Bleazey. I have low D by him. Some of his sample clips are mine.....

One does not equal two. Not even for very large values of one.

Thanks for all the replies! Has anyone played an Aschenbrenner whistle from Austria?

[Thread revival - Mod]

Hello everyone! After checking out all of your wonderful suggestions, I wound up ordering Low D and Low F whistles in mopane from Peter Aschenbrenner. WOW! I am so glad I did! The warm of the tone and the quality of both instruments is more than I could have hoped for. They are just beautiful! They only problem now is that I want everything he makes :-)

Peter is also a great guy, even sent me a couple messages during the Santa Barbara fires a month or so ago to check in and see if I was ok.

Please do check out his instruments - http://www.pa-music.com/en/instrument-m ... les/detail
