My collection isn't that big, but it has grown again as of today and I'm still proud of it, so here goes:



From top to bottom (also from least favorite to most favorite):

• Generation D penny whistle (I'm more a fan of lower whistle tones so I don't play this one much)
• Generation Bb pennywhistle (pretty cool for a pennywhistle)
• Ralph Cook PVC whistle with four shafts D/Eb/E/F (too "flutey" for most of my needs, but occasionally useful, if only for the alternate tunings)
• My venerable Overton low D (bought from a folk music shop back in '99, and I'm afraid I don't know much about it ... I wish I did)
• My brand new Mk Pro low D, which has instantly become my favorite whistle bar none.

my goodness!!!! I haven't been on the forum in 7 years!!! It's really remarkable that this thread I started is still up and running! I'll have to post an updated(if somewhat thinned) photo of my current arsenal soon. Keep up the good work everybody!!

Got somewhat of a rare bird in the mail today, a early Sindt. The original owner who's had it since new guessed it to be made around 1994-1996. There's no inscription on the head, also i have never seen a Sindt with white plastic. It sure sounds nice though! Seems a little louder than my 2012 Sindt, and unfortunately the same wonky oxx ooo C-nat.. Think i will graft a Feadóg tube on it like i did my new Sindt.

By the way, Mary Bergin has a Sindt with a white mouthpiece! Not sure if it's an older one she's playing here, though..

Just added a dogwood high D tunable whistle with brass Celtic ferrules and a custom tiger maple wood case from Hermit Hill Folk Instruments. The whistle plays two full octaves, chiffy and mellow. I like wood whistles for the mellow tones. A few photos to show the beautiful dogwood and tiger maple woods along with the wonderful craftsmanship of AlexD.
