- Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

Ben's and my old mate Roly has one of Gafin's plastic pibgyrn. I haven't yet met/tried one......

... I ordered one, unfortunately the fitted reed appeared to have got damaged in transit. A second reed was quickly supplied, but I couldn't get that one to work properly either, so I gave up and posted it all backIf I may revive/hijack the thread for a moment, any thoughts on these?
The instrument itself seemed to be well made, the component parts fitted nicely together, but for whatever reason I just couldn't get a sound out of it for anything more than a few bars before it simply stopped playing! I then had to wait for it to "cool down" or "dry off" or whatever before it'd play again
On the plus side, the refund was immediate
"I'm playing all the right notes—but not necessarily in the right order."
