Brief Outage

Post by MTGuru »

A system-wide failure at our hosting service (Dreamhost) brought the Chiffboard down for around 90 minutes this evening, as announced on our Facebook page.

We're back now, but Dreamhost is warning that there may be another outage overnight to replace their failed hardware. So caveat Chiffor.

Dreamhost has now rescheduled their hardware outage for tomorrow evening, Wednesday 27 March between 20:00 and midnight PST (yes, not PDT). That's Thursday 28 March from 04:00 to 08:00 GMT / UTC / Zulu.

So please expect some Chiffboard downtime during that time window. Thanks!

Dreamhost decided to go ahead early with their planned outage, which is currently underway. Hence today's glitch. Connection to the board may be spotty for the next few hours, but it seems OK for now.
