I like this bit in the description of the video: " Followed by Skip Healy, arguably the best traditional Irish flute player in the USA"

Uh, yeah....would likely be a big argument.

I mean, I like Skip fine. But that's a pretty bold statement for anyone.

I can't access a lot of these videos - from England - as they are marked private. What's that all about?

So Jimmy Noonan turned 50 last month.
Missed the party?

There have been a few videos from the Herschell in Slough on the Comhaltas site - it's usually a good Monday night session, worth a visit if you're in the area (not a beginners session)

I'm not posting to submit a video. I'm not qualified...yet :D.

I just want to say thanks to the ones who do submit, because this thread is my total go-to playlist for flute. And it's miles better than anything I could ever assemble on my own.

Very good lesson, Keegan takes you through the ornaments slow and easy.

The last post led me to this impressive 1984 performance of Willie Coleman's jig by the late Fiach O'Broin and the group Fionnuisce. I hadn't heard of Fiach O'Broin before, but he can sure play that flute!
