Hi all,
I have a restored “nach Mayer” German flute for sale, made in late 19th/early 20th century. It’s made of dark cocuswood or similar looking wood, with 12 pin mounted nickel silver keys. The crack on the barrel has been professionally repaired and it’s now almost invisible. A hairline crack in the lower section has also been repaired. Head cork and tenon corks are new and most of the pads are have been changed (some didn't need replacement). The key action is very good and they all work well, save the low B on the footjoint that I can’t get to sound properly. Low C sounds good but it’s not very easy to reach with my pinkie because of the low keys design, or maybe I'm just not used to it.

It’s easy to blow and requires little air, has a nice sweet tone, not too loud because of the small holes but with a surprisingly strong D. It’s lovely for home practice and it blends nicely in small to medium sessions (I tested this personally), while it would probably be overpowered in bigger or louder ones. It plays at A=440hz with good intonation with the tuning slide opened about 3-4mm. It comes with its original case.

Here is a video of me playing a tune on it (built in laptop microphone, sorry about that): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxosox2MJjU
And a close up video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG1CTI54-f4

I’m looking for 350 euros (or best offer, if there's a big interest), shipping not included. It will be sent from Galway, Ireland.
Of course I'm available for any question.
Thank you!

Lorenzo
