Greetings,
just curious if anyone knows of any beginner type sessions in or around the Baltimore area. A friend has given me the name J.Patrick ?? Not familiar with this ,
just looking to hear and enjoy some other players.

I haven't lived there for awhile, but there's a group which teaches
Irish music in Baltimore, and they'll be in the know about sessions:

J Patrick's is an Irish pub in Fell's Point (I think). Lots of sessions
there. Here's a Google map.

Oops, I'm a little late chiming in on this...but if you haven't found the beginners session at J. Patricks yet - it's still there (at least as of last September).

J. Patricks is a stone's throw from Fort McHenry (not in Fells Point) at Andre and towards the bay from E. Fort Avenue.

I attend when I'm in town on business, and they've been exceptionally friendly. They have a couple of other sessions each week as well - I've played in these a couple of times, but they're full tempo.

The food is good and cheap, too, BTW.
