King'O'Malleys every Sunday (usually starts at 5:00, but is subject to change so call the pub prior to coming).
Consistently features fiddle players, but there is regularly a bodhran, concertina, banjo whistles/flutes, and guitar. A piper used to come regularly, but I haven't seen him for a while. This session is definitely for proficient musicians as the tunes are played at a reasonably fast pace. People just wishing to spectate are welcolme.

National Folk Festival (every Easter)
This is a must for all folk musicians. Lots of pipers show up each year and there is often a pipes workshop (Dickie Deegan held one a few years ago). You can get free admission for one day if you do a few hours of volunteer work at the festival.
