Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

Some Christmas questions

Post by benhall.1 »

I'm wondering just how much this affects other people than me ...

* Do you find yourself not playing anything at all for days on end over the festive period?
* If so, how long does this playing drought last?
* How does it affect you?

Sounds great, David.

I suppose for me the big issue is the run up - I didn't play a note yesterday, and not much the day before. I shan't be able to play anything at all today - too busy with Christmas preparations - and then I'll be attending my family tomorrow and Boxing Day. So that's at least 4 days when I won't play a note.

I'm already having withdrawal symptoms. :(

Spare atleast a few minutes a day for busy days.

My hands felt like shaking and is doing the spirit fingers when I don't play my flutes.

Your muscle will still have the memory... But slowly you will lose the elasticity as the number of days increases without practice.
