Hi all,
Does anyone know of any good canons/rounds/chants that could be sung by three people? My band and I like to do songs as well as tunes, and I recently came across a few incredible songs that are sung in round by three people. I need more! Anything from the six Celtic nations (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man and Brittany) would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Cameron

Seven nations. Don't forget Galicia.

I see that Wiki doesn't count Galicia, because no Celtic language has been spoken there into modern times, unlike all the others.

Meanwhile, back (somewhat) on-topic, I don't know any Celtic rounds, but a favourite round which I used to sing with a band I was in nearly 40 years ago is the following Zen round, sing to the tune of Frere Jacques:
"Life is butter
Life is butter
Melancholy flower
Melancholy flower
Life is but a melon
Life is but a melon
Cauliflower
Cauliflower"

PM me and I'll send you a collection with some English ones in it. Words for some but not all. Your choice of pdf or abc files. None from the Celtic areas though I don't believe.

Have you ever heard the Zen saying, "When you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him."?

It's attributed to the master Linji (Rinzai). It's probably apocryphal, but I take it to heart.
