Place to link up with musicians?

Post by paveedelaney »

Hello,

Before posting my main post I wanted to ask which forum I should use - I am trying to find trad players for a band and did not want to upset the stream of things because it does not look like there are many of these types of posts.

If anyone could be of assistance I would be most grateful

Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.
Location: Unimportant island off the great mainland of Europe

Greetings and welcome to the Boards, paveedelaney! :D

This seems as good a forum as any to me. And just because there aren't many of this type of thread already, doesn't mean you can't start a trend. :)

Mind, if I've got your location right, I'd have thought you were right in the thick of it as far as trad musicians go. I'd say, ask at the local sesh. Feel free to ask here too, though.

Welcome, PD. It might also help if you describe your own music and background (and location in Ireland), and what kind of band you have in mind. Are you a Traveller?
