Song / Tune identification

Post by lucky141 »

Hi all,
I'm trying to find the source of this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMdFVlp_28w
In the video I linked it's singed in a Lombard dialect by an Italian band, but I'm pretty sure I heard it sung in Gaelic some years ago: unfortunately I don't even remember by whom.
Any hints?

I'm drawing a complete blank.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')

Ok someone found the answer, the original song is called "Alasdair Mhic Cholla Ghasda". Probably I heard it sung by Capercaiile.
