“vintagekits” - I’ve found out 2 possible ways for you to get a complete list of winners for each All-Ireland Fleadh. I’ve been to All-Irelands on 4 occasions, and have the programmes with the lists of competitors for 3 of them, 1976,1977, and 1982. Near the back of the programme is a list of all the winners from the previous year, in all the age groups. That means I have the results for the 3 years 1975, 1976 and 1981. I’ve posted 1975 below. I’ll do the others when I find the time. One thing you could do would be to contact Comhaltas, and ask them to put an appeal through their magazine “Treoir” for anyone who has any of the Fleadh programmes to get in touch with you and either email or photocopy you the page of results. “Treoir” is another place where results are listed, and I’ll have a look through the ones I have to see if there’s any information there for you.
Here are the 1975 results for all of the Senior Competitions, as listed in the 1976 programme :

I'm sure he did, but it would have been in the under-12 age group, not the senior championship which is the subject of these lists. Seamus Egan was born in 1970, I believe. I remember him first coming to the Augusta Irish Week in 1987 or 1988, and he was not yet 18 at the time. They made a big deal then about him having won so many championships at such a young age - but they never distinguished between the age-group levels when saying that.alurker wrote:I'm pretty sure that some time around '79 he won competitions 2 or 3 instruments.
