WTB: Musical Memories by Charlie Lennon Vol. 1 (the book)

Post by Dereelium »

I am looking to buy the book "Musical Memories by Charlie Lennon" VOL. 1 - I've been borrowing a personalized copy of a friend for a long time :) - time to get my own and return it. Lots of great tunes by the great man.

Paul Cranford seems to list it as available but I have no idea if that is still a functional, active business or a grossly obsolete page. May be worth checking though.

When I got my copy during the nineties there was no CD with it, or available separately for that matter.

I bought a CD by Charlie Lennon : "Musical Memories Vol.1", from the late-lamented "Bruce Miller's" music store in Aberdeen. Wasn't any sign of the book, but although I no longer have the CD, the tracks are still in my "iTunes" collection, so there definitely was a CD of the same title as the book.

I know, and they're still available on ebay etc. I meant to say they weren't necessarily a package deal as some book/CD packages are these days [I see now it does get a mention in the back of the book as being available separately). Which I think is probably a good thing, I like to have the choice of not buying (and paying for) CDs when I buy a book of tunes. James Kelly, Ritchie Dwyer, Carl Hession's books etc all come as package deals, for example.
