Lovely stuff Kenny. I love the music of the Castle.

I got a great buzz when they regrouped some years ago:

Image

Mick Hand, piano, Mick O Connor & Mick Tubridy flutes, James Keane box, John Kelly, John Dwyer, Seán Keane and Liam O Connor taking up their seats or filling in for deceased members, Aidan Vaughan played the drums on the occasion but can't be seen in the pic.

Brilliant links, thanks for sharing. It's really motivating me to practise playing faster. My old teacher always said to practise tunes (at home not in the pub!!) as fast as you can, then when you bring them back down to a proper speed they'll seem easy.

That's got to be counterproductive unless you're also practising them accurately!

That's such a classic set, love it. We sometimes used it for the third figure of the set when playing for the dancers. Jackie had a fondness for it, great nights.
