This should be of interest - never released on CD, not on "iTunes". A classic track.

When I first got that lp my then life's companion jumped up on hearing this track saying 'that's from Jules et Jim'. It would be a while yet before I caught up with her experience[ of classic movies but indeed, it was.

Au son des banjos je l'ai reconnue
Ce curieux sourire qui m'avait tant plu
Sa voix si fatale, son beau visage pâle
M'émurent plus que jamais

Sweet memories, and Jeanne Moreau, ofcourse. Never got to ask Charlie Piggot or Jackie Small (not sure which one of them complied the tune, accounts differ) if he frequented the Galway film club when he put that tune together. :P
My brain hurts

Here's another "De Danann" clip, from a Scottish concert in 1978, featuring Charlie Piggott on banjo before he had to give it up
