The Celtic Cello - new cd by Clíodhna Ní Aodáin

Post by stiofan »

Clíodhna Ní Aodáin is an Irish cellist who's just released her first recording, 'The Celtic Cello.' I just received a copy today and have been listening to it for hours on end! Beautiful renditions of some well-known slow airs and songs, and others not quite so familiar. I particularly like Amhrán Na Leabhar, Éamonn An Chnoic, and The Parting Glass, but the whole cd is worth a listen (there's even a bit of spoken poetry interwoven in a couple of pieces, but very tastefully done). Definitely recommended!
(note: this is not a CP, just putting the word out to folks in the C&F community who might be interested in ITM on the cello)
