Liam O'Flynn RIP

Post by kenny »

It's been reported that Liam O'Flynn - one of Ireland's greatest ever traditional musicians IMHO - has sadly passed on. It's been posted on the "Uilleann Pipes" forum, but I reckoned it should be posted here as well.
I may add more to this later.
Condolences to his many, many friends and family. May he rest in peace.

Tell us something.: I have grown up surrounded by Irish music and culture and have played the whistle since first grade. I love playing the various instruments I have aquired over the years and would love to help others with their instruments in any way I can.

Thank you for sharing. We have lost one the best whistlers and uilleann pipers the world has ever seen. He provided inspiration not only for myself, but countless other musicians out there. R.I.P. Liam O'Flynn, as you will be sorely missed!
