ITM mugs, shirts, etc to raise money for my new flute...

Post by thaneydesign »

Get a product with your favorite tune and help me get a new flute... think of it as a public service; not only will you have a great item, but you'll also be saving all the folks that have to sit next to my silver flute at sessions! :-D People will thank you.

Let me know what tunes (or instruments) I should do next!

Tasteful.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')

Not sure if that's sarcasm or a joke. I prefer the latter.

It's sarcasm. How could you not tell?

In what universe could that drawing actually be tasteful? Google the tune title if you need a hint, but it translates to "the wet [cat-metaphor]. See you next Tuesday.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Come, now. Chill, dudes. FWIW, I find the themes to be witty, even if the cat's an old joke known to all ITM players. Of course, the joke isn't likely to be gotten outside of a session unless it be by happenstance, but ... eh. Whatever. Sure, I wouldn't wear it outside of ITM contexts, because someone would be sure to ask, and then I'd have to go to the trouble to explain the linguistic acrobatics behind it, and I just hate it when people's eyes glaze over.

Tell us something.: I started with playing bamboo flutes. But I transitioned to primarily playing the Boehm flute a few lessons ago with the aim of getting good music instruction. However, I've been transitioning to playing Irish Traditional Music on simple flutes.

thaneydesign, I do enjoy looking at the various designs you have come up with. The "I can't. I have rehearsal." May be my favorite thus far.

However, I am also anticipating a large flute purchase in my near future, and probably shouldn't be spending much on anything else.
