This is in fact a piece of chorus of a pop song. I don't know it's name but I hear it on radio sometimes while working. By no means it is Irish Traditional.

Nick Kershaw - "The Riddle"

To the best of my knowledge, it has nothing to do with Irish trad.
There is a part where the chorus line is played by a fife-like synth. Catchy.
What we do in life, echoes in eternity.

Thanks, Mladen. Indeed, the original has nothing to do with traditional music.
I've heard this melody many years ago in some dance track and since then been playing it occasionally on Irish whistle, and it sounded quite traditional to me.
