Tell us something.: I play high and low whistle with Traditional Irish Music being my focus of interest. I love Irish music and consider it as a direct connection to my Irish heritage. I enjoy participation in whistle tours, chatting with other players, and learning much from the many talented folks that frequent C & F.

Learning with clips and snips

I find the clips and snips to be very helpful in learning tunes for whistle. Not reading music, i listen to tunes, train my ear, and attempt to play tunes phrase by phrase until I can put it all together. I like the way tunes are categorized into slow airs, jigs, reels, hornpipes, etc. I also like that they reference the instrument, key played in, and musician. I am thankful for all who have posted their tunes.
