While I'm thinking of it...I've had a notion to make a page devoted to abc's of tunes if anyone sends them along with there sound clip. I was thinking of putting them all in alphabetical order on one page, maybe having headings for different categories. I've often transcribed the notes of tunes I've submitted from cd's by well-known musicians. They may not be the usual versions from jc's tunefinder or whatever. Any support for this?

I guess the main benefit would be if you transcribed something that isn't usually found in the databases. If it's the version you're playing and you didn't get it from the usual places, it might be nice for someone who wants to learn the tune.

Um...Let me say first that I LOVE Chiff & Fipple and what follows is in no way meant to disparage it...

There's an interesting and friendly UK-based site called http://www.thesession.org that has a boatload of ABC tunes in its database, as well as a discussion area and a links page that points to our beloved "mothersite"--chiff and fipple.
