Actually, I'm quite happy to announce that I've placed my order for a half-set of Neil O'Grady pipes. I can say that it has been a total pleasure dealing with Neil, and I look forward to receiving the pipes, in about a year.
I can't wait...

SWEET Jaime!
You're now gonna be expected to give us all a mini concert the day they arrive!
Seriously, what sort of wood/metal/etc. did you order? I'm sure you and I will fully understand the horrid implications of our impending orders soon enough!
"WhOA hath no equal like a piper's lust!"
Keep us all posted, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Here is the link to <a href="http://home.thezone.net/~pipes/index.htm"> Neil O' Grady's Site</a>
The set is made from cocobolo, brass and maple, and looks like this (except I didn't order regulators, yet). The chanter includes a c-natural key. Neil ships his pipes with two sets of tuned reeds.

My decision was based on a few factors, including reputation, location (he's about as far as Florida to me, but at least there is no international border between us), price (very reasonable) and character. Neil was more than helpful and was very honest and friendly. I know that I will be well supported in the future.
