I'm selling a Joe Kennedy full set in C made from English plumwood, brass and imitation ivory. The chanter is fully keyed and they have a straight base drone. The bellows are made by Paddy Hyland. The set has a detachable bass regulator, which means it can be played as a full set or a 3/4 set. The pipes come with a very sturdy case - one of the cases sold by NPU - which is very compact. This is one of the best sets of pipes I have ever played and anyone who has tried them has been of the same opinion. Unfortunately, personal circumstances mean I have to part with them. The chanter has incredible tone and character with a lot of bite. The drones have a particularly stunning sound and are very steady, the regs have an equally good sound. These are a top-class set of pipes. Joe kennedy himself thought very highly of this set. The quality of the video doesn't do the sound of the pipes the proper justice, but you can get the idea. I can only check emails once-a-day at the min, so sorry for any delays in reponses!

Sounds like "Port an Giobóige" - have a version of this played by Emmett Gill on his album.hpinson wrote:May I ask you the name of the second tune in your Youtube video?

At the Dublin Feis Ceoil? I remember you mentioning that.
For some reason I've always linked the "ar lar" Mistress with the Donegal reel (http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/1370).
The one on the video is (among other examples no doubt) given a lovely treatment by Mick and Caomhin on Deadly Buzz.

I know the second tune as 'Bean a' Tí ar Lár'. Tommy Reck played it.
