Note that there's two separate listings which use the same photos.

Pretty sure it's a violation of Ebay rules to run two auctions for the same item.

I messaged the seller advising that if there are indeed two different chanters being sold, each listing should use different photos, to make that fact clear.

Now of course on Ebay when a seller is selling hundreds of identical new items they use the same photo over and over, but this is a unique used item.

Howard chanter in D - UK only, The seller states that it is a finished chanter that was not sold for cosmetic reasons, (a surface crack),
paired with a scrap top.

Richard, the duplicated Gallagher post has been removed.

Thanks for the heads up on this post Davy.

Given that Ebay charge 10% for their "services" I am quite willing to take £825 for this practice set - obviously off Ebay. I will also include another reed, balanced to this chanter. Please contact me for further info. I will of course post worldwide (Nigeria excepted!) via an economic and reliable courier. There are no CITES restricted parts in any of my current sets, and imports into the USA are free of Import Duty.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Rory

The seller says that the stock came from a retired musician and instrument maker, so I assume that Brian Howard has retired.

The chanter and D blanks have sold already. The B blank is still available.

Cheers Davy, It's quite sad if he has retired without any kind of recognition for the important part he played in the Uilleann pipeing community. He did after all teach Cillian O'Brien how to make pipes and look at all the wonderful pipers playing his sets, not to mention all the pipemakers that have benifited by plagiarising Cillian's work. Good luck Brian I hope you have a happy and healthy retirement .

Full B set

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Uilleann-pipes- ... 0033.m2042

This is a clear violation of Ebay listing rules and has been reported.

It's set up as an auction with no Buy It Now option, but the seller says he will delete all bid's (sic) and asks people to PM him.

Just another hacked account, with, usually, hundreds of such listings put up to see who they can scam.
