Geoff Wooff full set in D - US only, unless you pay $1000ish shipping. I posted the listing here because it is a Wooff set, but I am not sure if it is a scam.

With zero feedback for a history, I think I'd steer clear. Contact me for shipping is another red flag.

Now, I am really curious. Seller states the set´s location is Bolivia, NC. Google tells me Bolivia, NC has a population of 143. While it doesn´t appear there are any antique/collectible stores in Bolivia, there are lots nearby. I´d sure like to hear a whole lot more about the source of a Woof set that ´hasn´t been played in two years´, particularly with a nice round price of 10 grand. I can´t seem to get a sensible address for where these pictures are posted.

In all fairness, the shapes and materials (bellows shape, leather etc. for example, top of bass reg, pre-pig's nose design, shape of the reed cap etc) would be consistent enough with a 1987 vintage. It would make it a very early NBD (Geoff sent me a demo tape of the first he was working on in 86/87). I can remember, and have played, perhaps two around that time that went to the US, both in stained boxwood though. I am sure the man himself will have an opinion or thoughts on the provenance, (a serial number would be the thing to know), if anyone is going to give this a serious shot.

A very thorough talk with the seller, inspection of the instrument even, would be advisable.

I can, probably come up with a serial number for this set from the photos and description.

This is an early version of my Narrow Bore D and probably cost less than $2000 when new, being sold at a value inflated by a reputation that took many years to build.

It would be nice to have the Artist's Resale Rights or Droit de Suite, above a set percentage of price inflation, apply to crafts like pipemaking, wouldn't it?

Indeed it would Mr.Gumby . If I sell a set for a past customer I often get a commision but to have it percentage linked would be nice.
The set in question is number 71 by the look of it.... made in 1987.

67 was actually my first thought but I remembered a 69 joke made at the time, anyhow, never mind.

Seller has a second set of bellows for sale that also look like they could have belonged to the set, see seller's bellows auction
