I'm 95% sure that the practice set for sale there is from Pakistan originally.
I recognise it as it passed through my workshop maybe 7 years ago, when it belonged to a friend of mine. I did a few bits and bobs, re-hemping, replacing valves, fitted a hinge to the bellows as there wasn't one, made a reed, and sold her the case.
All that being said I remember being surprised by the chanter, after all the bad press i'd heard. Sounded pretty good, in-tune and easy to play. So i kept the reed measurements. Of course, next similar-looking chanter i encountered was absolutely useless with the same reed specs.
But anyway, as a cheap practice set goes, i thought this one was ok for someone to start on.

Ahha, I had to exchange the wooff set for the kennedy as the wooff set had Ivory mounts and as such nobody in the USA would take a chance on buying it with the cites laws as they are. It was a good deal as well as the Kennedy set is a great set from somebody in the Netherlands, but I still need to raise some cash for the ever friendly accounts dept at HMRC so they are up for sale.
Also, eBay are rather strict on the Ivory issue, I have already had a listing pulled some months ago for stating mounts were ivory and when I listed the wooff set they contacted me again questioning the material of the mounts after somebody had reported the listing telling them Mr Wooff only ever uses Real Ivory on his pipes with White mounts.
There are some interfering people out there!
