The bellows still looked okay...the vinyl bag had several holes worn into it in obvious places from nothing more than expanding and squeezing in normal use...and there was GHB bag seasoning leaking out. Eww.
The windcap's blackwood had some peeling going on...looked like they had put some kind of lacquer on it. Weird. Add to that the giant crack through the middle, and all the tape...I wouldn't feel right about it.

Just curious why you replaced your Kennedy NBD chanter with this one? Most NBDs are dull sounding and hard to reed. Wooff and Kennedy were usualy the only NBDs recomended being worth to play.
Did Andreas changed the bore with his NBD chanters or you just prefer the sound?
Can you post some sound clips - it would be great to hear it together with your Concert Rogge chanter to hear the difference NBD delivers.
Thanks, Chears

Andreas Rogge took the photos of the NBD chanter from this workshop in Germany not me as I am on holidays in Co Kerry and left the delivery of chanter until September when back in Belfast. So no sound clips until September.
I did like the Joe Kennedy chanter but the only reason I sold the applewood Kennedy NBD chanter was because the chanter needed to warm up before the pitch raised to correct tuning. No good playing in quiet session when pitch is flat.
All my Rogge chanters D wide bore, C nat and B nat NBD chanters have always stayed in pitch with no need to wait before pitch came in to tune.
So looking forward to my New Rogge NBD chanter.
Cheers
Ferg
